Enhanced Accessibility Rail
Award: Providing Excellent
Customer Service for
Disabled Passengers.
This is awarded to the best train operating company as voted for by disabled passengers on the Disabled Persons Railcard website. The award is intended to highlight the good work and excellent service that the winning train operating company provides to disabled passengers, whilst also hoping that the award will further encourage disabled people to see rail travel as a legitimate travel choice.
Hull Trains operate six direct daily services between Hull and London Kings Cross.

David ConstantineThe International Award recognises the commitment and contribution to disability rights internationally. It acknowledges significant and diligent work on a particular important issue or campaign during the last year.
David Constantine is the co-founder and Executive Officer of Motivation, a registered charity which works in partnership with a range of organisations to create sustainable projects to enhance the quality of life of people with mobility disabilities in developing countries.
The judges honoured David due to the local ownership aspect of his work. They felt that in terms of practical impact, David's contribution has been second to none.

- Lifetime Achievement in
the furtherance of Human
and Civil Rights of Disabled
People.This award is given to an individual for their sustained, consistent campaigns with significant milestones or achievement throughout their working lives.
Stephen BradshawA pragmatist, he has always maintained a balance between direct action and sitting around a committee table.
LLOYDS TSB
- Employment Award for
Excellence in Reasonable
Adjustments for Disabled
Employees.This award is made to an organisation that has embraced disability as an integral part of their equal opportunities and practices.
The winner has taken specific steps to ensure that the working environment is conducive to disabled people taking up any position for which they are suitably qualified.

TERRI HARRIS
- Disabled Entrepreneur of
the Year Award.
This award is presented to a disabled person who has demonstrated resilience, creativity and strength of character in overcoming the barriers to self-employment to set up a successful and innovative business.
The winner is someone who has been able to demonstrate sustainability, their own personal flair in approaching business challenges and a contribution to the local business community. Terri has shown a strong desire to succeed and has made her dream reality.
Her Hastings-based business, Little London Studios, is a recording studio and band management company, soon to have its own record label.
Terri's dedication to working with local bands and disadvantaged young adults, and her connections with youth community organisations, are a testament to her commitment to helping others and an excellent example of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication.
